When choosing a wine for pork, most people stick with a red wine although pork is technically a “white” meat. If you are looking for the best wine you can pair with pork, you can’t go wrong with a rich burgundy.

Aside from burgundy, you have many options depending on the type of pork. If you are having roast pork, you should try a Beaujolais. Make sure not to limit yourself to one wine. You can be adventurous and try some white wines with pork roast too. Try a white Semillion or even a Sauvignon Blanc.
