As soon as you spill red wine, grab some paper towels or napkins and start blotting the stains immediately.

Take some laundry soup and some hydrogen peroxide and start putting a little of each on the stain and rub them into the fabric. Make sure you rub it into both sides of the fabric if possible (can’t on carpet).

Rinse off the fabric and add a little more soap and then wash it in the washer in cold water.

If you are getting the stain out of carpet, just keep scrubbing until you get the stain out.

If your clothes are dry-clean only, take them immediately to the dry cleaner. Using soap, water, and peroxide on dry-clean only clothes may actually make the problem worse.
