    • ]]>     The truth is…wine does not always get better with age. Most wineries don’t make wine to last more than a year or two.

    The ideal temperature for aging wine is a cool cellar temperature around 50 – 55 degrees F. During the transportation process and the storage of wine by stores, the wine is often kept at a much high temperature than 55 degrees causing it to age faster.

    Since wineries assume the wine will be sold and drank within 3 years, there is no need to age the wine anymore than it already has.

    Try to keep wine stored in a cool, dark place at around 55 degrees until you are ready to pop it open.
