Pinot Grigio is a tasty white wine which is very popular around the world. This wine has some very tasty flavors which pair well with many food varieties. I’ve become a big fan of Pinot Grigio lately because it really does pair well with a lot of foods and has a refreshing taste.

The major flavors in Pinot Grigio are usually fruity flavors like pear or melon. You can often taste hints of tropical fruits, as well as a smoky or honey flavoring.

The flavors of Pinot Grigio pair well with many light dishes. Almost any seafood will work with this white wine along with light pastas or most chicken dishes.

Chicken dishes in any white cream sauce blend well with the flavors of Pinot Grigio.

Cheese and crackers also taste great with Pinot Grigio. Pinot Grigio has a high acidity level and shouldn’t be paired with foods that also have a high acidity level.

Pinot Grigio is typically made in California, France, Germany, Oregon, and a few other wineries around the world.

Pinot Grigio can range in price but you should spend at least $6-$10 for a bottle or you will be missing out on the quality.

Pinot Grigio should be served at about 50 degrees F. Serving it too cold will take away from the flavors. Although serving it too warm is also a mistake.

While red wine should be served almost at room temperature, white wines need to be chilled a bit more.

While WineAccess has very good wine, their wine club may be a bit overpriced. They also don’t give you many options or much customization when selecting a wine club. You have two options and that’s it. Although WineAccess has a good wine club, their high prices and lack of options prevents them from competing with the best wine clubs.

Chardonnay is one of the most famous white wines out there and that is because it pairs wonderfully with food. You have a lot of pairing options so keep reading to find out more.

Chardonnay is a light-bodied, white wine which pairs well with many different foods. Continue reading to learn about some of the most popular Chardonnay food pairings.

Chardonnay can have many flavors. Some of the most common flavors that Chardonnay has are buttery, mineral, fruit, and oak flavors. Depending on the aging process and the location the wine was made, it can have any combination of these flavors.

One of my favorite things to pair Chardonnay with is some tasty cheese. The best cheeses to go with your glass of Chardonnay are a mild cheddar or provolone.

If you are looking to pair your Chardonnay with dinner then you should stick with light colored dishes like chicken breast, shrimp, pork, and salmon.

Adding a white cream sauce with your chicken or pork really pairs perfectly with Chardonnay.

You can also match up your wine with sides or appetizers. The best matches are oysters, clams, and crab cakes. As you can see white wine pairs well with chicken and seafood.

Now moving on to dessert! Chardonnay pairs great with fresh fruit. Some of my favorites are pineapple and melon.

Any dish that is made with a red sauce or red meat should be paired with a red wine. The different flavors of white wine and red meats/sauces don’t pair well together.

Although red wine is supposed to be served just under room temperature, you are going to want to keep your Chardonnay a bit cooler around 54-56 degrees F. Many people overcool the wine and end up losing a lot of the flavor.
