Wine Sangria Recipe

Published by at 11:02 pm under Making Wine,Red Wine,Wine and Food

If you like wine, but you want to drink something that is a bit more fruity and  little less strong in alcohol content, then Sangria may be a good option for you.

Sangria is a tasty drink and is surprising easy to make. You’ll need to gather a few ingredients including your favorite bottle of red vino. Some of your options are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja reds, or Zinfandel.

Aside from the bottle, you will need the following:

  • 1 Lemon cut into wedges
  • 1 Orange cut into wedges (other fruit is optional)
  • 2 Tbsp of sugar
  • 1 Shot of brandy
  • 2 Cups of ginger ale (club soda will work also)

Add the entire bottle to a punch bowl or pitcher.

Now slice up your fruit and squeeze the juices into the bowl.

After you squeeze out the juice, put the fruit slices into the bowl also.

Add the rest of your ingredients, except for the ginger ale/club soda, and let the sangria mixture chill overnight.

Before serving, add the ginger ale/club soda.

If you don’t have time to chill it overnight, try to use a chilled bottle of wine.

Any other fruit will typically taste good in sangria. Try strawberries, melon, and etc.
