What Wine Goes with Lasagna

Published by at 7:52 pm under Serving Wine,Wine and Food

When trying to pair Lasagna with wine, you need to stick with a red wine.

With lasagna and pasta, the wine is typically matched up with the sauce. With any kind of red sauces and meat sauces, which lasagna is paired with, you should stick to a hearty red.

Also,  any Italian wine will work with lasagna. You can try a Zinfandel or Syrah/Shiraz if you are unfamiliar with which wines are hearty or Italian.

If you have a vegetarian lasagna than the wine is going to be different. If the lasagna is full of vegetables than you will want to stick with a Chardonnay.

However, if the lasagna is more cheese and less vegetables then a Pinot Noir would be a better option than a Chardonnay.
