What Temperature Should Wine be Served?

Wine should be served at the perfect temperature to get the best taste. Serving it at the wrong temperature can really ruin the flavors.

White wine should be served slightly chilled and colder than red wine, which should be almost room temperature.

Wine should not be kept in the refriderator because it is too cold and can be exposed to too much light.

Here is a quick wine temperature chart to stick to:

  • Sparking Wine: 48 F (9 C)
  • White Wine: 53 F (12 C)
  • Rose Wine: 51 F (11 C)
  • Red Wine: 62 F (17 C)
  •

Wine refrigerators are getting cheaper and are a great way to store wine at the ideal temperatures.

If you do keep wine in the fridge, let it sit for about 30-45 minutes at room temperature before drinking it.
