List of Wine Clubs

Published by at 3:57 pm under Wine Blogs/Sites,Wine Clubs,Wine Reviews

Here is a list and review of the top wine clubs on the market today. To start off, we’ll discuss what the top wine clubs have to offer and how much they will cost. Then we’ll talk about the types of wines and other freebies you can expect to get.

First, we will talk about Cellars Wine Club. Cellars has a few different kinds of memberships. You have the option to either receive wine each month and pay monthly or you can prepay for a certain amount.

Membership Includes:

  • 2 Different Reds, or 1 Red and 1 White Per Month
  • Monthly Newsletter detailing the wineries and wines featured.
  • Discount on wine reorders.
  • Gift Announcement

Many people take advantage of the 3 month membership and get it as a gift for someone. To prepay for 3 months and receive 2 wines each month, it’ll cost $89.85. If you want to pay monthly, it is $29.95 a month. So as you can see there isn’t a dicount for prepaying the 3 months price, but it is better to prepay if giving a gift for someone.

One other cool thing about Cellars is they offer different types of wine clubs for more experienced wine drinkers. They have an international wine club, a west coast wine club, and even a sweet wine club.

Here are some of the previously featured wines of the Cellars intro offer:

  • Villa Trasqua, Italy 2003 Solaris Red Blend
  • Painted Stone, Washington 2002 Reserve Syrah
  • Bodegas Fontana, Spain 2004 Tempranillo
  • Talomas, California 2000 Cabernet/Melot

Now for an introductory offer Cellars wine is on the pricey side and they don’t offer any special for first time buyers. If you are looking for a competitively priced wine club which also has great wine, Zagat wine club is going to be your best option.

Zagat is a prepay wine club which gives you twice as much wine for a slightly cheaper price. Zagat has really been making a name for themselves with this highly in demand introductory offer, which includes:

  • 12 Premium Wines for only $69.99
  • A FREE cheese board and knife set (pictured below)
  • Red and/or White Wines
  • 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
  • Free Binder with Tasting Notes about Each Wine

As you can see, Zagat is priced much better and the wine is quite similar to Cellars, it only makes sense to go with the wine club which is less expensive and gives you twice the amount of wine and a free gift, especially if you’re giving it as a gift to someone else.
